Job summary

CBRE is seeking a People Business Partner for the remote USA region. You will assist with the roll-out and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures, while supporting onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.

You will partner with managers on risk assessment, employee relations, and training across a range of HR functions, including compensation and labor relations, traveling up to 40% monthly to sites and warehouses as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft, SmartSheet).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and assist with disciplinary actions and performance improvement counseling.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin the discovery process of investigations and grievances.
• Manage HR functions such as employment, labor relations, and compensation for a business unit or line of business.
• Conduct training on topics including performance management and diversity.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard HR procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
