Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File. You will handle complex multi-state cases with independence, mentor colleagues, and expand technical depth while maintaining high accuracy and customer focus.

The role supports a high-volume workflow with strong analytical tasks, effective communication with agencies, and ongoing SOP/KB improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience resolving notices, correcting payroll errors, and preparing amended returns.
• Excellent knowledge of IRS and state notice types and resolution paths.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax casework for assigned accounts, including filings and payments.
• Prepare written agency responses with supporting documentation and meet deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) independently on complex amendments.
• Support payroll correction workflows and document the audit trail through resolution.
• Manage personal WIP queue, prioritize by SLA, and maintain thorough case documentation.
• Perform trend analysis of data and contribute to SOP/KB updates.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
