Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across Notices, Corrections, Amendments, and Pay & File with high accuracy and independence. You will mentor colleagues while expanding technical depth in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with notices, amended returns, and multi-state payroll tax compliance, plus strong communication with state and federal agencies. Flexible, remote work is available for this position.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on payroll tax experience focused on notices, amendments, and corrections across multiple states.
• Knowledge of IRS/state notice types; able to read a notice and determine the resolution path.
• Experience resolving State and Federal payroll tax notices independently, including balance-due notices and deposits.
• Hands-on experience preparing amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and state payroll tax returns across states.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) required; CPP preferred for 4+ years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including tax filings and payments.
• Independently research and resolve complex notices across state and federal levels.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and meet deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents) independently.
• Support correction workflows by identifying sources of payroll errors and documenting audits.
• Manage personal WIP queue, prioritize SLA dates, and maintain case documentation.
• Perform trend analysis of data to identify process deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOP/KB updates and share solutions with the team.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
