Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File issues with high accuracy and independent judgment. You will handle complex state and federal notices, prepare amended returns, and ensure timely compliance for multiple jurisdictions.

This role emphasizes mentoring teammates, sharing best practices, and contributing to SOPs while maintaining exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years hands-on payroll tax experience across multiple states.
• Experience resolving IRS/state notices and amendments.
• Knowledge of Form 941-X, W-2c and local rules.
• Familiarity with FICA, FUTA and state unemployment taxes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with agencies.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts.
• Research and resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents).
• Support payroll correction workflows and document audits.
• Maintain WIP queue and monitor SLA.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
• Contribute to SOP/KB updates.
