Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience resolving notices and preparing amended returns.
• Proficient in researching State and Federal payroll tax notices.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance and tax filings.
• Experience using Salesforce or case-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work, audits and filings across jurisdictions.
• Independently research and resolve complex notices, including balance-due and deposit mismatches.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and meet deadlines.
• Prepare amended returns (Form 941-X, state equivalents) for complex amendments.
• Support correction workflows by identifying errors and tracing tax impacts.
• Maintain thorough case documentation and prioritize by SLA deadlines.
