Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax notices, prepare amended returns, and correct payroll errors across multiple states.

The role emphasizes independent case ownership, mentorship, and collaboration with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams. The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll tax experience, strong knowledge of IRS/state notices, and CPP/FPC qualifications.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll tax experience with focus on notice resolution, amended returns & error correction across multiple states.
• Reading notices from IRS/state agencies and determining resolutions.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (941‑X, W‑2c) and State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts: process payroll runs, audit outputs, manage filings and payments, ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
• Independently research and resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning each case from intake through closure.
• Prepare agency responses with supporting documentation; submit within deadlines and confirm receipt.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941‑X and state equivalents) for complex amendments.
• Support payroll correction workflows: identify source of error, quantify tax impact, document audit trail, and close the case.
