Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and pay & file. You will handle high‑volume cases with independence and mentor peers while expanding technical depth.

The role emphasizes hands‑on experience with Form 941‑X, state returns, and wage tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions, with the goal of accurate, timely resolutions and process improvements.

Competenze

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll tax experience with focus on notice resolution, amended return preparation, and payroll error correction across multiple states.
• Working knowledge of IRS and state agency notice types; read notices to determine resolution path.
• Experience resolving State and Federal payroll tax notices independently, including balance‑due notices and deposit mismatches.
• Knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations; understanding federal vs state tax responsibilities.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (Form 941‑X, W‑2c) and State payroll tax returns across states.
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW, and payroll tax deposit schedules; penalties/interest.
• Multi‑state payroll tax expertise including SUI accounts and local tax compliance.
• Proficiency with a payroll platform and Salesforce for case management.
• Excel/Google Sheets skills: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation auditing.
• Strong written and verbal communication for agency interactions.
• Associate or Bachelor in Accounting/Business/Finance; CPP/FPC preferred.

• Execute full‑cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including tax filings and payments.
• Independently research and resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices from intake to closure.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and submit by deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941‑X, state equivalents) for complex cases.
• Support payroll correction workflows and document the audit trail.
• Manage personal WIP queue, prioritizing by SLA and maintaining case documentation.
• Perform high‑level trend analysis to identify process or system deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOPs and KB updates; mentor TP1 staff and seek coaching.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
