The position emphasizes solving hard problems, coaching junior staff, and driving process improvements while delivering accurate tax filings and timely responses.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multiple quarters and states.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) end-to-end.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods and jurisdictions to drive corrections.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notices with accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases, and drive issue resolution with root-cause analysis.
