Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience with notice resolution and amended returns across multiple states.
• Experience reading and resolving IRS/state notices and determining appropriate resolutions.
• Proficiency in payroll tax regulations and compliance across federal/state/local levels.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work including audits of pre/post-payroll outputs and tax filings.
• Independently research and resolve complex notices including balance-due and deposit discrepancies.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) with supporting documentation.
