Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience resolving notices, amended returns, and payroll errors across multiple states.
• Familiar with IRS/state agency notice types and resolution paths.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including filings and payments.
• Independently resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices and close cases.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation within deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents).
• Support payroll correction workflows and document audit trails.
• Maintain case documentation and prioritize by SLA dates.
• Contribute to SOPs and KB updates; mentor staff as needed.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
