Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our U.S. Payroll team remotely from Arizona. You will report to the Payroll Manager and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple states in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate possesses multi-state payroll experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent attention to detail, with proficiency in Excel and Oracle-based systems. This remote role supports North American payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll using automated payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll compliance.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of FLSA requirements.
• Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions and changes for accuracy and compliance.
• Audit payroll data and reports to resolve discrepancies before processing.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and escalate as needed.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Support payroll balancing, reconciliation, and process improvements.
