Stantec is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its U.S. Payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will process payroll across multiple states, maintain records, and address employee inquiries to ensure accurate, timely pay.

The role emphasizes compliance with federal, state, and local laws while supporting operations regionally. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated systems, multi-state payroll, and strong Excel skills.

Formación

• Experience processing payroll using automated payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll compliance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Knowledge of FLSA requirements.
• Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines while maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related tools.
• Experience with Oracle HRMS or similar enterprise payroll systems preferred.
• Remote position; candidates must reside in Arizona.

Responsabilidades

• Process payroll-related transactions, including direct deposit, tax, and data changes with accuracy and compliance.
• Audit payroll reports and data entry to identify and resolve discrepancies before processing.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries; resolve routine issues and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Manage the Payroll Manual Timecard inbox; review requests for completeness and enter corrections.
• Prepare, process, and distribute manual payroll checks and related adjustments.
• Provide backup support for Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage administration.
• Maintain accurate payroll records through daily data entry and document management.
• Assist with payroll balancing, reconciliation, and quality control activities.
• Maintain payroll SOPs and process documentation to support consistent operations.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve payroll questions.
