Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage timely payroll processing for a multi-state workforce using Ceridian/Dayforce. You will work closely with management to ensure accurate hours, deferrals, tax withholdings, and garnishments, while maintaining rigorous compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

The role supports Accounts Payable and internal audit activities, offering opportunities for process improvement and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Company has a mandatory vaccination policy and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll processing using Ceridian/Dayforce.
• Ensure hours submitted and approved timely; resolve discrepancies.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans in payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishment calculations and tax levy processing.
• Process off-cycle payrolls and year-end reporting (W-2, 401K census).
• Collaborate with HR, FP&A, and third parties to optimize payroll configurations.
• Create and maintain payroll SOPs and assist with audits.
