Job summary

Mews is seeking a PayOps Analyst to act as the operational heartbeat of our Payment Operations. You will monitor payout flows, manage incidents end to end, and provide insights to ensure merchants are paid accurately and on time.

This role emphasizes proactive operations, system improvements, and an AI-first approach to reduce manual work. You will collaborate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, FinCrime, and PSPs to resolve escalations quickly, and you’ll prepare KPI reporting while maintaining

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in payments, operations, or fintech.
• Hands-on experience with PSPs, Stripe and/or Adyen; Airwallex or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of card acquiring, payout processes, and authorisation flows.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack, and operational dashboards; plus Power BI or Databricks.
• Clear, effective communication across internal teams and external partners.
• Regulated financial services experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong technical PSP experience is priority.
• AI fluency: using Claude and providing context in outputs.
• Ability to give a concrete example of AI changing your work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness, authorisation success rates, SLA breaches, dispute readiness, and fee accuracy across PSPs.
• Log and manage incidents in Jira Service Portal from triage to close.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and feed insights to PayOps Manager.
• Support operational readiness checklists for PSP/vendor onboarding and market entries.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, FinCrime, and PSPs to resolve escalations.
