Job summary

Mews is hiring a PayOps Analyst to act as the operational heartbeat of the Payment Operations function. You will monitor payment flows, manage incidents end to end, and provide insights to ensure merchants are paid on time.

You’ll use AI tools to reduce manual tasks, surface anomalies faster, and improve the runbooks for proactive and scalable operations. The role emphasizes quickly spotting issues, working under pressure, and collaborating with PSPs, vendors, and internal teams to resolve

Qualifications

• 6+ years in payments, operations, or fintech.
• Experience with PSPs such as Stripe or Adyen; Airwallex is relevant.
• Strong understanding of card acquiring and payout processes.
• Excellent data-driven incident investigation skills.
• Experience with dashboards and operational tooling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness and approval rates across Stripe and Adyen.
• Log and manage incidents in the Jira Service Portal from triage to close.
• Perform RCA on recurring failures and feed insights to PayOps Manager.
• Support readiness checklists for onboarding, market entries, and launches.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech, and PSPs to resolve escalations.
• Prepare weekly KPI and monthly vendor performance summaries.
• Maintain the runbook for recurring issues and tasks.
• Flag incidents for governance review in the Operational Risk Register.
• Draft first-line merchant communications for outages with PayOps approval.
• Validate data quality during incidents and differentiate issues from lag.
