Job summary

Mews is seeking a PayOps Analyst to join our Payment Operations team and act as the operational heartbeat for payment flows and incident management. You will monitor payout timeliness, authorisation rates, and data quality while leveraging AI tools to surface anomalies and streamline processes.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve runbooks, incident response, and governance, with a hybrid/remote-friendly setup and a focus on scalable, proactive operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in payments, operations, or fintech.
• Experience with PSPs, ideally Stripe and/or Adyen; Airwallex or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of card acquiring and payout processes.
• Proven ability to analyze data to investigate incidents and identify patterns.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack; dashboards familiarity a plus.
• AI fluency: using tools like Claude to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness, authorization success rates, SLA breaches, and fee accuracy across Stripe and Adyen.
• Log and manage incidents in Jira Service Portal, with clear ownership and SLA tracking.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and feed insights to PayOps Manager.
• Support operational readiness checklists for PSP onboarding, new markets, and launches.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, FinCrime, and PSPs to resolve escalations.
