Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payor payments with Epic-based processes. You will analyze underpayments, adjust fee schedules, and lead rebill projects while collaborating with Revenue Integrity and Coding teams.

Ideal candidates have healthcare finance expertise, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 knowledge, and Epic Contracts experience. Remote work may be possible for eligible states, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience in hospital financial operations including reimbursement, coding, and charge auditing.
• In-depth knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 medical coding and Medicare reimbursement.
• Epic Contracts Module certification is preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily Epic WQ holds; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve price/contract discrepancies; collaborate with CDM/Revenue Integrity to correct fee schedules.
• Lead rebill projects aimed at recouping underpayments.
• Serve as subject matter expert on payer reimbursements and contract changes; coordinate with Revenue Integrity staff to implement changes.
• Research non-covered/denied charges; assist with appeals with Revenue Integrity Manager.
• Identify coding, charging, and billing issues; educate staff to resolve and track re-billing for proper payment.
• Prepare monthly measurements using Epic reports and document findings, actions, and recommendations for Director-level approval.
• Create and maintain contracts in Epic; assist with startup processes for new programs.
