Job summary

Mosaic Life Care seeks a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payments from payors. The role focuses on identifying underpayments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting revenue integrity initiatives.

The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare finance experience, CPT/HCPCS knowledge, and proficiency with Epic systems to generate reports and manage contracts. Remote work is available for eligible states, with some on-site duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• High school diploma required.
• Minimum five years of healthcare experience.
• Hospital finance experience including reimbursement, coding, and charge master.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and identify root causes.
• Resolve price/contract discrepancies and implement fee schedule corrections.
• Work on rebill projects focused on recoupment.
• Serve as subject matter expert on payer reimbursements and contract changes.
• Research non-covered or denied charges and assist with appeals.
• Identify coding, charging, and billing issues and educate staff.
• Prepare monthly measurement reports using Epic and communicate findings.
• Create and maintain contracts in Epic.
• Assist start-up processes for new programs and identify reimbursable services.
• Research and resolve CPT, revenue code and other charge master issues.
• Coordinate routine projects and plan steps.
• Apply flowchart techniques to projects with minimal direction.
• Other duties as assigned.
