Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payments from payors and manage line-item validation within Epic WQs. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Integrity and focuses on improving reimbursement accuracy across hospital financial operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in healthcare reimbursement, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 knowledge, and experience with Epic. Remote work is available for several US states where allowed, with travel to off-site locations as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years' healthcare experience including hospital financial operations, reimbursement, and Charge Master experience.
• In-depth knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding and Medicare reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily encounters in Epic WQs; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve encounters in Epic WQ for price/contract discrepancies and coordinate fee schedule corrections with CDM/Revenue Integrity.
• Lead rebill projects focused on recoupment of underpayments.
• Serve as subject matter expert on payer reimbursements and contracts; implement changes as needed.
• Research non-covered or denied charges to identify root causes and support appeals with the Revenue Integrity Manager.
• Identify coding, charging, and billing issues and educate staff to resolve them; monitor accounts for re-billing to ensure proper payments.
