Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payments from payors and to manage line item validation where needed. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Integrity and focuses on contract underpayments, pricing discrepancies, and Rebills.

Qualified candidates will have extensive health-care financial operations knowledge and Epic experience. This position supports remote-state applicants and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; hospital finance experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding and reimbursement.
• Experience with Epic Revenue/Contracts modules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily encounters in Epic WQs.
• Investigate price/contract discrepancies and implement fee schedule corrections.
• Lead rebill projects to recoup underpayments and improve cash flow.
• Act as SME for payer reimbursements and contract changes affecting payments.
• Research non-covered or denied charges and assist with appeals.
• Identify billing issues and educate staff to ensure accurate payments.
• Produce monthly measurement reports with findings and actions.
• Create and maintain contracts in Epic and support new programs.
• Coordinate routine projects with structured planning and flowchart methods.
