Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in the United States seeks a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payer payments and resolve line-level discrepancies. The role focuses on Epic WQ optimization, contract underpayments, and fee-schedule corrections across hospital financial operations.

As the expert for payer reimbursements, you will analyze CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding, participate in rebill projects, and support Revenue Integrity with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in a healthcare or related field.
• H.S. Diploma required.
• 5+ years in health care with hospital financial operations including reimbursement, coding, and charge maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily encounters in Epic WQs.
• Investigate price/contract discrepancies and implement corrective fee schedule changes.
• Lead rebill projects to recoup underpayments and improve payment accuracy.
• Serve as SME for payer reimbursements and contracts, updating processes as needed.
• Research non-covered or denied charges and assist with appeals with Revenue Integrity.
• Identify coding/charging issues and educate staff to resolve them, monitoring rebills for payment accuracy.
• Prepare monthly reports using Epic to document findings, actions, and recommendations.
