Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Interim Support Coordinator for a fully remote contract role. You will provide inbound patient, caregiver, and provider support, coordinating resources and guiding access to prescribed therapy.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, reimbursement navigation, and collaboration with care teams. Ideal candidates have a background in healthcare support, strong communication skills, and familiarity with insurance terminology.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; or a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience within a service driven environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology and reimbursement/insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary inbound phone support for the Care Coordinator and Reimbursement Case Manager.
• Provide unparalleled customer service while acting as a brand advocate and program representative.
• Advise patients on program eligibility, enrollment, reimbursement, and access to prescribed therapy.
• Support health care providers and patients to remove non-clinical barriers to access.
• Explain benefits across payer types including private, government programs, and VA/DOD.
• Escalate complex cases according to program policy and procedures.
