Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring Care Coordinators for a fully remote role supporting a pharmaceutical patient assistance program. The contract runs through November 2026 and requires 40 hours per week with evening/morning shift options.

Training is conducted onsite in North Carolina before transitioning to remote work. The role focuses on serving patients, providers, and payers; coordinating benefits, orders, and scheduling; and assisting with authorizations, reimbursements, and affordability programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in HUB services, patient services, healthcare call centers, reimbursement, insurance verification, prior authorizations, appeals, or healthcare billing.
• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefits, prior authorizations, and appeals.
• Experience communicating with patients, physician offices, and specialty pharmacies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems and applications (CRM, phone systems, dual monitors).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for patients, providers, specialty pharmacies, and payers.
• Coordinate patient benefits, product orders, and appointment scheduling.
• Assist with prior authorizations, appeals, benefit verification, and reimbursement support.
• Advocate for patients by helping them navigate affordability programs and access to therapy.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to ensure a seamless patient journey.
