Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Patient Financial Services Supervisor to lead daily revenue cycle operations across billing, insurance follow-up, denials, and self-pay.

You will mentor teams, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements in cash collections, AR aging, and overall patient financial experience. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in hospital PFS/revenue cycle and 1–2+ years in people leadership, with strong knowledge of HB/PB processes and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of hospital Patient Financial Services or revenue cycle experience including billing, AR, denials, collections, self-pay, cash posting, or related functions.
• 1–2+ years of demonstrated team lead, supervisory, or people leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Hospital/Professional Billing cycles, Medicare/Medicaid/payer processes.
• Ability to manage workflow, productivity, quality, service levels, and employee performance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills in a multi-hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily PFS operations for billing, insurance follow-up, denials and appeals, self-pay, cash posting, and final account resolution.
• Manage work queues, AR inventories, aging, unresolved accounts, unapplied cash, credit balances, and backlogs; align work to volume and staffing.
• Monitor staffing capacity, workload, volumes, and service levels; rebalance resources as needed.
• Ensure timely execution of workflows, SOPs, payer requirements, and account documentation standards.
• Identify barriers and systemic issues affecting reimbursement and patient experience; drive escalation resolution.
• Oversee insurance follow-up with Medicare/Medicaid/commercial payers; monitor aging, denials, and timely filing deadlines.
• Identify payer/denial trends and partner with stakeholders to address root causes.
• Support payer escalations with data-driven documentation of trends and actions.
• Oversee patient balance workflows, financial assistance, and self-pay processes in line with policy.
• Monitor cash posting accuracy and timeliness; resolve unapplied cash and remittance issues.
• Lead, coach, and develop PFS associates; monitor performance and conduct regular huddles.
