Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services experience.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with empathetic communication.
• Ability to research accounts and navigate multiple systems while documenting interactions.
• Understanding of HIPAA and consumer financial communication requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, insurance processing, and balances.
• Explain account balances, insurance payments, and patient responsibility clearly to patients.
• Collect and securely process patient payments and offer approved payment arrangements.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and assist patients accordingly.
• Research accounts in EHR, patient accounting, payment, telephony, and CRM systems; document interactions.
• Identify billing discrepancies or complex accounts and escalate when needed.
