Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Patient Financial Experience Representative for a remote, nationwide role. You will handle patient and guarantor communications, explain balances and insurance details, and help with payments and financial assistance options.

You will research accounts across hospital systems, document interactions, and escalate more complex issues while maintaining empathy and professionalism to ensure a positive patient financial experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with empathetic communication.
• Ability to research patient accounts across multiple systems and document interactions.
• Experience with hospital accounting or EHR systems and insurance terminology.
• Knowledge of financial assistance workflows and consumer financial communications.
• Capacity to maintain professionalism and discretion in sensitive financial conversations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving client needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, processing, balances, and payment options.
• Explain account balances, insurance payments, and patient responsibility in clear terms.
• Collect and securely process patient payments and offer approved payment arrangements.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance and refer patients per policies.
• Research accounts in EHR, patient accounting, payment, telephony, and CRM systems; document interactions and follow-up.
• Identify billing discrepancies or complex accounts and escalate as needed.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience through empathy, active listening, and de-escalation.
