• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to research accounts across multiple systems and document interactions.
• Experience with hospital EHR, patient accounting, and insurance terminology.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, processing, balances, and billing concerns.
• Explain balances, insurance payments, and next steps to patients clearly.
• Process patient payments and arrange payment plans per policy.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and assist patients accordingly.
• Document interactions and follow-ups accurately in hospital systems.
• Maintain HIPAA/privacy and follow hospital policies in all communications.
• Deliver empathetic, patient-focused service and pursue first-contact resolution where possible.
