Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Patient Financial Experience Representative for a remote position nationwide.

You will handle patient communications, resolve billing questions, process payments, and help patients access financial assistance while maintaining HIPAA compliance. You’ll join a team focused on delivering a positive patient financial experience with empathy, clear explanations, and timely follow-up, balancing accuracy with service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or related patient financial services.
• Excellent customer service with empathetic communication.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and document interactions accurately.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and consumer financial communications requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, insurance processing, balances, self-pay accounts, and billing concerns.
• Explain account balances, insurance payments, patient responsibility, and next steps clearly.
• Process patient payments, offer approved payment arrangements, and follow self-pay collection practices.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and assist patients per policies.
• Research accounts in EHR, patient accounting, payment, telephony, and CRM systems; document interactions and follow-up.
• Identify billing discrepancies or complex accounts and escalate to the appropriate team.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience with empathy and active listening; pursue timely follow-up.
• Balance patient experience with financial accuracy and compliance; prioritize respectful treatment.
• Follow HIPAA/privacy rules and hospital policies in all communications.
• Remain available through scheduled shifts and hand off as needed.
