Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and empathy in complex financial conversations.
• Ability to research accounts, navigate systems, and document interactions accurately.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient financial assistance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound patient and guarantor calls about statements and balances.
• Explain balances, insurance payments, and next steps clearly and respectfully.
• Process payments and arrange approved payment plans per policies.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance and refer as needed.
• Document interactions in EHR, billing, and CRM systems; follow up as required.
• Escalate complex cases to the appropriate billing or leadership team.
• Deliver empathetic, compliant patient experience with first-contact resolution.
• Balance patient experience with accuracy, compliance, and productivity.
