Signature Performance is seeking a Remote Patient Financial Experience Representative to handle inbound/outbound calls, assist with hospital statements, insurance questions, and payment plans. You will explain patient financial responsibilities clearly and help identify financial assistance options while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services, or equivalent.
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Research patient accounts and document interactions accurately.
• Experience with hospital accounting or EHR systems and insurance terminology.
• Knowledge of financial assistance workflows and HIPAA requirements.
• Deliver high-quality patient service meeting center metrics.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, insurance processing, balances, self-pay accounts, and payment options.
• Explain balances, payments, and next steps in clear, respectful language.
• Collect payments and offer approved payment arrangements per policy.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and refer patients accordingly.
• Research accounts in EHR, patient accounting, payment, telephony, and CRM systems; document interactions and follow-up.
• Identify and escalate billing discrepancies or complex accounts to the appropriate team.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience with empathy, active listening, and de-escalation.
• Follow HIPAA and hospital policies; maintain system access and complete required training.
• Collaborate with teammates across hospital partners and shared services; stay available for scheduled shifts.
