You will handle inbound and outbound calls about hospital statements, insurance processing, patient balances, and payment options, delivering empathetic, solution-focused service. Responsibilities include researching accounts in hospital systems, explaining balances and next steps, and referring eligible patients to financial assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or patient-facing financial services.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with empathetic communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to patients and families.
• Experience researching patient accounts across multiple systems and documenting interactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, insurance processing, and balances.
• Explain account details, insurance payments, patient responsibility, and next steps in clear, patient-friendly language.
• Collect payments, offer approved payment arrangements, and follow self-pay collection practices and applicable protections.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and guide patients per policies.
