Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a remote Patient Financial Experience Representative nationwide. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, resolve billing inquiries, facilitate payments and arrangements, and help patients access financial assistance per hospital policies.

The role emphasizes empathetic communication, research across EHR and billing systems, and compliance with HIPAA and federal/state regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or a related patient financial service role.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with empathetic communication and problem solving.
• Ability to research patient accounts, navigate multiple systems, and document interactions accurately.
• Experience with hospital patient accounting or EHR systems, insurance terminology, and self-pay collections.
• Knowledge of financial assistance workflows, HIPAA, and consumer financial communications.
• Open to coaching, receptive to feedback, and adaptable to evolving needs.

Aufgaben

• Manage inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding hospital statements, insurance processing, and balances; research and resolve inquiries.
• Explain balances, insurance payments, patient responsibility, and next steps clearly and respectfully.
• Collect and process patient payments, offer approved payment arrangements, and follow self-pay collection practices.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and refer patients per hospital policies.
• Research accounts in EHR, patient accounting, payment, telephony, and CRM systems; document interactions and follow-up.
• Identify billing discrepancies or complex accounts and elevate to appropriate teams.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience through empathy, active listening, and de-escalation; pursue first-contact resolution.
• Balance patient experience with financial accuracy and compliance; avoid prioritizing collections over patient care.
• Follow hospital policies, scripting, identity verification, HIPAA/privacy requirements, and regulations.
