Signature Performance, Inc. in a remote nationwide position seeks a Patient Financial Experience Representative. You will handle inbound/outbound calls, explain balances, process payments, and help patients with financial assistance while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Experience in healthcare revenue cycle and strong communication are preferred. The role supports rural healthcare communities and emphasizes respectful, clear service with first-contact resolution when possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services preferred.
• Strong customer service, empathetic communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and document interactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound patient and guarantor calls regarding statements, insurance processing, patient balances, self-pay accounts, payment options, and billing concerns.
• Explain account balances, insurance payments, patient responsibility, and next steps in clear, respectful language.
• Collect and process patient payments, offer payment arrangements, and follow self-pay collection practices.
• Identify eligibility for financial assistance or charity care and refer patients as appropriate.
• Research accounts in hospital systems; document interactions, commitments, and follow-up.
• Identify issues and escalate to billing, coding, or leadership as needed.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience with empathy, active listening, and de-escalation.
• Balance patient experience with financial accuracy and compliance.
• Follow HIPAA, privacy, and hospital policies; maintain system access and complete training.
• Remain available during scheduled shifts and hand off active calls as needed.
