Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Patient Care Specialist for a fully remote role. You will perform non-clinical duties in a physician office, focusing on delivering an excellent patient experience while handling calls, scheduling, and patient inquiries.

The position requires a HS Diploma and preferably an Associate degree. Applicants should have 3 years of customer service experience and 1 year in health plans, medical records data, terminology, registration or third-party payers.

Qualifications

• 3 years Customer Service experience (Required)
• 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience.
• Perform a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery.
• Main duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions.
