Independence Health System is seeking a Care Center Agent to be the first point of contact for patients by phone, scheduling appointments and verifying demographic and insurance details. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and accurate data handling.

Fully remote option is available after in-person training. Basic computer skills (typing 35 wpm) are required; prior experience in switchboard, medical practice, or call center is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology.
• Basic computer skills and ability to type 35 words per minute.
• Preferred: One year experience in switchboard, medical practice, or call center.

Responsabilités

• Schedules appointments for patients by phone using scheduling protocols.
• Maintains scheduling system and updates master schedule promptly.
• Obtains referrals, authorizations, and demographic information; verifies insurance.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding patient concerns related to scheduling.
• Analyzes situations and elevates to clinical staff when needed.
