Responsibilities

• Answer patient billing calls, voicemails and portal messages promptly.
• Explain statements, EOBs, deductibles, copays and coinsurance in plain language.
• Update insurance information and resubmit claims when coverage was wrong.
• Take payments and set up payment plans according to practice policy.
• Review and send patient statements on schedule.
• Resolve credit balances and process refunds with approval.
• Escalate complaints and disputes to the account lead with full notes.
