Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years directly related medical billing and customer service.
• Preferred: Some college.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls pertaining to patient inquiries.
• Handle outbound dialer calls related to patient balances.
• Take credit card payments over the telephone and post to patient accounts.
• Set up monthly payment plans on patient accounts.
• Add or correct insurance registration and files claims accordingly.
• Update demographics to include address and telephone numbers based on patient calls.
• Document all actions taken on accounts in the system notes.
• Assist patients with MyChart billing inquiries.
• Review accounts to resolve discrepancies in balances and ensure proper postings.
