Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Services Specialist for a full-time, remote role with a variable schedule. The position supports the Care Access team by providing patient-centered access to the health system, navigating appointment scheduling, and offering basic technical support for patient health apps.

This temporary role requires solid customer service experience and the ability to engage with patients virtually. Weekend coverage and a flexible weekly schedule are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2 years Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• 2 years Experience interacting with and engaging customers virtually over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered access to the complex network of facilities, institutes, and clinics, and act as an entry point for patients into the health system.
• Assist with 'find a physician' navigation, scheduling appointments and classes, and providing tier 1 technical support with patient health applications.
• Support the Care Access team in delivering high-touch, personalized assistance to patients across Providence regions and provider networks.
