Baystate Health is hiring a Contact Center Representative to support scheduling and patient access across the Baystate Health System. You will assist patients and providers, respond to inquiries via phone, fax, and online portals, and document interactions in our clinical and administrative systems.

The role requires strong communication skills, confidentiality, and pace in a fast-moving environment, with per diem, part-time hours and remote work options for MA/CT residents.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience in a physician office or customer service setting.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Ability to use telephone, computer, and related technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Active listening to understand customer needs and respond appropriately.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests from physicians, practices, and community providers to ensure timely access to care.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments and consultations.
• Communicate professionally by phone, fax, and online portals; document interactions accurately.
• Use Baystate systems to access and share patient and physician information.
• Meet QA, customer service, productivity, and call-processing standards.
