Job summary

Amgen seeks a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, providers, and sites of care in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. This field-based role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to ensure timely access to treatment.

The PAL educates stakeholders on coverage, prior authorizations, and patient assistance programs, while addressing access challenges and documenting activities in Amgen’s systems.

Qualifications

• Possible combinations: Doctorate; OR Master’s with 2 years patient services/reimbursement experience; OR Bachelor’s with 4 years patient services/reimbursement experience; OR Associate’s with 8 years; OR High school diploma with 10 years of patient services/reimbursement experience.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and operate in matrix field environments.

Responsibilities

• Support patient access initiatives and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies.
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways, prior authorizations, coding, and billing.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals in navigating benefits and denials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve access barriers and improve patient outcomes.
