Job summary

Amgen in the United States seeks a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies. This field-based role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams to ensure timely access.

You will educate providers on coverage pathways, assist with prior authorization, and navigate coding and billing considerations while helping patients access medicines.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent clinical/operations experience.
• Multiple pathways to qualification accepted (Master/Bachelor/Associate/HS with years of patient services experience).
• Experience in patient access, reimbursement, or related functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance benefits and prior authorization requirements.
• Educate providers and sites of care on therapy coverage pathways and billing practices.
• Support resolution of access challenges and escalation of complex reimbursement issues.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams.
