Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. The PAL will operate in a field-based capacity, partnering with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Site of Care teams to ensure timely access and education on coverage and financial assistance programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, independence in managing patient cases, and escalation of complex issues

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or equivalent advanced degree in a health/science field and relevant experience.
• 2 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience with Master’s degree.
• 4 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience with Bachelor’s degree.
• 8 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience with an Associate’s.
• 10 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience with high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Support patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Educate patients and providers on coverage and financial assistance options.
• Assist in navigating prior authorization and billing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address reimbursement barriers.
