Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies across the United States. The role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to drive timely access and patient support.

Expectations include educating providers on coverage, assisting with prior authorizations, and resolving access barriers while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, or equivalent in a relevant field as outlined in the qualifications.
• Experience in patient services and/or access and reimbursement per Level 5/6 requirements.
• Understanding of reimbursement processes including prior authorization and coding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Navigate insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and reimbursement processes with patients, caregivers, and providers.
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways and billing considerations.
• Investigate access challenges and escalate systemic issues as needed.
