Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. This field-based role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to ensure timely access and education across payer requirements.

The PAL will address prior authorizations, coding and billing considerations, and patient assistance programs while traveling to sites of care and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies.
• Knowledge of reimbursement processes including prior authorization, appeals, and denied claims management.
• Clinical background such as nursing or allied health is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and FDA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and providers in navigating insurance benefits and authorization requirements.
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways and coding considerations.
• Investigate access challenges and escalate complex issues as needed.
