Job summary

Amgen seeks a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. This field-based role works with internal teams to address access challenges and ensure timely therapy access.

The PAL educates on prior authorization, coding, and billing, and guides patients through co-pay assistance programs. Extensive collaboration with site of care and payer teams is required.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Doctorate, Master’s with 2+ years in patient services/access, or Bachelor’s with 4+ years in patient services/access.
• Level 6 Doctorate with 2 years in patient services/access, or Master’s with 4 years in patient services/access.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access and reimbursement support for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with insurance benefits and prior authorization processes.
• Educate providers on coverage and billing considerations across therapy access.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams.
