Job summary

Amgen in Seattle is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. You will educate patients, caregivers, providers, and sites of care, and address prior authorizations and coverage barriers.

As a field-based role, you will collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to drive timely access and education while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in Amgen systems.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or Master’s with 2 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience
• Bachelor’s with 4 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience
• Master’s or Doctorate preferred for advanced roles
• Experience with buy-and-bill or infused therapies considered a plus
• Understanding of HIPAA and privacy requirements

Responsibilities

• Support patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways and prior authorization requirements
• Navigate insurance benefits and appeals processes with patients and caregivers
• Collaborate across Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to optimize access
