Job summary

Amgen is seeking a field-based Patient Access Liaison to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. This role partners with internal teams to ensure timely access and education on coverage and financial assistance programs.

The PAL works independently on assigned patient cases, addresses prior authorization barriers, and helps optimize the patient journey across sites of care and providers.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelor with patient services/access experience.
• Experience supporting infusion or specialty therapies preferred.
• Understanding of payer policies, prior authorization, and denials management.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access and reimbursement support for infused and specialty therapies.
• Educate providers and patients on coverage, prior authorization, and billing processes.
• Escalate complex reimbursement issues to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management teams.
