Job summary

Amgen’s Patient Access Liaison (PAL) role focuses on helping patients and providers navigate insurance, prior authorizations, and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. The field-based position collaborates with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Site of Care teams to support access to treatment.

The role emphasizes education on coverage, HIPAA compliance, and education resources for patients and providers, with emphasis on reducing access barriers and improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience
• High school diploma with 10 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and providers in navigating insurance benefits and prior authorization requirements.
• Educate providers on coverage pathways and coding and billing considerations.
