Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Patch Engineer to lead enterprise-wide patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives. This remote role focuses on Windows endpoints across the organization, leveraging BigFix, MEMCM, and Qualys to secure systems.

You will develop strategies, evaluate vulnerabilities, plan deployments, and mentor IT teams while collaborating with cross-functional groups to meet security standards and uptime goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in workstation patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 patch deployment and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of BigFix endpoint management and compliance reporting.
• Experience with WSUS and BigFix for patch approval and management.
• Familiarity with third-party patching tools (PMPC, Ivanti).
• Proficient in PowerShell for automation and system management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise patch management strategies for Windows endpoints.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities, determine patch criticality, and ensure compatibility.
• Design and execute tests for patches in controlled environments.
• Plan and execute patch rollouts across the Windows 10/11 fleet and monitor progress.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with timely security patches to maintain compliance.
• Troubleshoot failed patch installations and related issues.
• Develop scripts and leverage automation to streamline patch deployment and compliance tracking.
• Monitor patch compliance metrics and produce regular status reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and OEMs to align with enterprise standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for patch procedures and troubleshooting.
