Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Systems Engineer III to join the Device Engineering team. This remote role focuses on automation-driven desktop and endpoint management for 20,000+ end users, building scalable processes and reusable automation frameworks.

The ideal candidate brings MECM/Intune knowledge, PowerShell scripting skills, and Agile delivery experience to automate health checks, remediation, provisioning and ensure security and compliance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of Systems Engineer/Systems Programmer experience or equivalent.
• Proven desktop OS management and infrastructure experience in enterprise settings.
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell or equivalent.
• Experience building automated workflows, health checks, and remediation.
• 1–3 years in Agile delivery; familiar with Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with FFIEC Architecture and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated desktop management solutions, processes, and workflows.
• Automate health monitoring, self-healing remediation, provisioning, and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize desktop environments for availability, security, and performance.
• Handle escalations, diagnose complex issues, and provide automation-driven resolutions.
• Collaborate with partners to hand off scalable solutions and maintain runbooks.
